Sabrina Carpenter Joins NYC’s Elite with a $10 Million Duplex

Sabrina Carpenter’s latest release isn’t a single, it’s an NYC duplex!

Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter has acquired a $10 million duplex property at 108 Leonard Street, one of Manhattan's most sought-after luxury condominium conversions, adding herself to NYC's list of famous homeowners.

According to city documents, a company connected to the singer of "Espresso" and "Man's Best Friend" paid $6.5 million for the 2,900-square-foot house. In 2022, Cassandra Grey, the widow of former Paramount Pictures chairman Brad Grey and the founder of cosmetics boutique Violet Grey, paid $10.8 million for the property.

Prior to entering into a deal earlier this year, the house's price was changed from its original listing of $11.5 million in December of last year to $10.5 million. Frances Katzen of Douglas Elliman, who represented the listing, chose not to comment on the deal.

A private elevator connects the duplex's four private balconies, three bedrooms, and three complete baths. The great room offers views of NYC's architectural environment and an abundance of natural light thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the largest terrace.

The main suite, which has a sitting area, two walk-in closets, a five-piece bathroom, and another private outdoor space, is located on the upper level, while two guest bedrooms with private terraces and en suite bathrooms are located on the lower level. A private storage space and on-site parking that can be purchased are further benefits.

In 2018, the Elad Group converted 108 Leonard, housed in the historic New York Life Insurance Company building, into 167 opulent residences. The facility offers tenants a 24-hour-attended lobby, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a resident lounge, all while fusing modern design with landmarked architecture.

Over the years, the building has drawn a number of well-known occupants. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman paid $3.5 million for a two-bedroom home in 2020. The widow of author Tom Clancy, Alexandra Clancy, paid $21.4 million for a penthouse in the complex earlier this year.

The Clock Tower Penthouse, a showcase property inside the building's original clock tower, is one of the remaining listings; it is presently seeking more than $19 million.

With this acquisition, Carpenter's real estate holdings continue to expand. A $4.4 million house in the Hollywood Hills was also purchased in 2023 by a company connected to the pop star.

Carpenter now has a sophisticated New York headquarters that reflects her polished ascent to international fame as she gets ready for her five-show residency at Madison Square Garden in October.

While Manhattan’s luxury market continues to draw celebrity buyers, more buyers are discovering that NYC’s real estate opportunities reach far beyond Tribeca’s towering high-rises. Brooklyn has emerged as the borough where accessibility meets appreciation potential, offering the same urban energy and cultural cachet that draws stars like Carpenter to New York, but at price points that make building wealth actually achievable for the next generation of homeowners.

From Williamsburg's waterfront condos to Park Slope's classic brownstones, Brooklyn delivers the New York lifestyle without the Manhattan premium.
